Third Thursday: THREE Third Thursdays took place 2026, including Red White & Boots: Line Dancing on June 18th, Star Spangled Summer Splash Bash July 16th, and Red, White, Blue & Gold Back To School Kick Off August 20th. These FREE events bring together the community around the Marion square with several local businesses presenting products, activities and more for the whole family!

Rock The Plaza: after a couple of test runs in 2025, it GREW this year, with six months slated for local bands/musicians to perform around the square! Food trucks came in to feed the hungry attendees and The City of Marion worked with Koerner Distributing to allow limited-open container during the concerts!

Neighbor Spotlight: in late spring and summer, community members were invited as we showcased several different local businesses – what they offer, how they serve the community, and you could support them.

History Series: featuring local historian and author Jon Musgrave, community members were invited to Celebrations Event Center to learn more about southern Illinois’ rich and lively history. Food and drinks were FREE courtesy of Walt’s Pizza and Legence Bank.

Fall Fest: think Third Thursday but BIGGER as the year starts winding down: live music featuring 90’s Kidz and opener Fire & Ice, 50 vendors, five inflatables, food trucks, pumpkin decorating and pie eating contests and then some at the Williamson County Fairgrounds!
